A great piece of Walton Blodgett's original, framed pencil drawing, an American artist from Cleveland, Ohio who also resided in Connecticut and Vermont.

Circa 1935. The frame measures 19 1/4" high x 15 1/4" wide and the inside of the matting measures about 10 3/8" high x 7 5/8" wide.

Features a gorgeous original pencil drawing titled, "Visegrad, 04/11/1935" and the back reads with the Estate stamp on the top left, Walton Blodgett Estate #017E. The Clarke Galleries American Paintings sticker is in the top center and there are 2 clear stickers near the bottom left reading, Blodgett, Walton, American(1908-1963), "Visegrad, April 11, 1935. Pencil on Paper, 10 1/2" x 7 3/4", Estate Stamped #017E.

Walton Blodgett was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1908 and passed away in Stowe, Vermont in 1963. Walton studied at the Grand Central Art School in 1927, he also studied under George Luks Art Students League in NYC. He was exhibited his works and was an active member of the American Watercolor Society and is most known as an American scene watercolor painter, illustrator and teacher.

In the late 1930's, Walton moved his family to Stowe, Vermont. He had been doing a lot of Vermont scenes, which he was selling to tourists and this wonderful artist has a huge following here in Vermont.

This is a beautiful original pencil drawing, matted in a beautiful black frame. Please review photographs carefully, there is a minor indentation towards the top right of the drawing, as well as very minor creases.

What a great opportunity to own a wonderful and beautiful original pencil drawing from a wonderful artist. A great addition for any true art collector or Vermont art collector!
