This set was first thought to be created in 1860 for the Rothschild family from Europe. There were 12 different patters depicting birds playing with a pearl necklace. Going back to the story that Baroness Rothschild had lost her pearl necklace in the garden inn Vienna. Her gardener found the birds playing with the necklace a few days later.
