Light Blue Satin Glass Fairy Lamp with White Enamel Florentine Floral Decoration
Beautiful light blue satin glass fairy lamp with white enamel Florentine floral decoration.
Circa: Late 19th century to early 20th century (4th quarter of the 19th century to early 20th century)
Dimensions: 4 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" diameter (widest point)
Description:
Elegant satin-finish pale blue glass forms the dome of this fairy lamp, offering a soft, velvety appearance typical of period glasswork.
Decorated with hand-applied white enamel in a Florentine floral motif encircling the dome — delicate stylized blossoms and foliate swags that reflect 19th–early 20th century decorative tastes.
Includes a clear glass insert designed to hold the light source.
Condition notes: there is some roughness to the top of the dome consistent with age and use. A sticker is present on the inside of the dome. No major chips or cracks observed in the body.
This charming example would suit collectors of satin glass, fairy lamps, and Florentine-decorated glassware, and makes an attractive display piece or addition to a period lighting collection.
