Absolutely beautiful, Whitefriars faceted, millefiori paperweight.
Circa 1940 and measures 3" in diameter.
This paperweight features stunning rows of red, white and blue millefiori canes. Has a factory polished pontil mark. The exterior is featuring 5 and 1 facets. 1 large facet on top and 5 smaller facets on the side. There is not a signature cane; however, they did use paper labels, so it very well could have fallen off from cleaning, etc.
It is in beautiful condition with normal shelf wear. On a couple of the side facets, one has a minute nick, and the other is a little bigger, but hard to notice. I did not notice it at first, just barely caught it. There is also a minor manufacturing imperfection to the pontil mark, as made. it is absolutely beautiful to see in person.
This piece would look gorgeous in any setting. Would be a great addition for any Whitefriars or paperweight collector.
