Gorgeous Quimper, France hexagonal, tall, hand painted Faience pottery vase from the late 19th Century.

Circa 1895 and measures 17" tall x 6 1/2" in diameter.

The vase is all hand painted in a gorgeous decor riche pattern.  You will see an embellished botanical motif opposite other panels.  The slender neck has holly leaves and berries or wild broom, which is native to Brittany.  The wider, lower part of the vase features the embellished botanical motif opposite 3 panels.  One panel features a Breton peasant woman filling a pitcher with water, as she looks to be at a hand water pump with birds flying in the background. The opposite panel is a crest with the word, BRETAGNE, which in English is Brittany, so this makes it the crest of Brittany. The last panel is the holly leaves, berries or wild broom.

The colors are very rich, inviting and warm.  Just stunning to see in person!

It is in beautiful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.  Signed, HB Quimper on the base.  There is also a darkened label.  Please review photographs thoroughly.

This would look absolutely stunning in any setting.  A great addition for any Quimper or pottery collector.
