French Napoleon, Sterling Silver, Snuff Box - Silver Medal by Andrieu (1761-1822)

Beautiful, original French Napoleon, sterling silver, snuff box.

Measures 2 3/8” and weighs about 75 grams.

French Napoleon handmade, sterling silver, snuff box. The top is a Napoleon sterling silver medal by Jean-Bertrand Andrieu (1761-1822), signed Andrieu, from the early 19th Century.   The sterling box appears to be from the 1890 era.

The silver medal by Andrieu has the words Napoleon Empereur Des Francais Roi Ditalie surrounding a bust of Napoleon.  This box was very important to someone as it was monogramed on the inside, GDG.
