Beautiful hand painted on silk of Birds of the World, hovered around a creative tree weathered by nature.
This is a very fine and detailed oil painting of the way an artist depicted these wonderful grouping of birds in a natural setting.
Features a Reddish Egret, Black Heron, Cattle Egret, Snow Egret, Black Crowned Night Heron, Yellow Crowned Night Heron, Common Large Egret and a Little Blue Heron.
Note: You will find this exact image in the book, "Birds of the World," done by Oliver L Austin, Jr and Illustrated by Arthur Singer. Arthur Singer (1917-1990) is an American wildlife artist who is most known for his bird illustrations. This; however, is hand painted, it is not a print.
The period frame is of the same period, is high quality and gorgeous. I would hate to think of the cost of this frame today. It is in beautiful condition for its age.
