Beautiful Copeland Spode Set of 12 Figural 9" Plates - Circa 1891 to 1900

Gorgeous Copeland Spode, set of 12, figural plates.

Circa 1891 - 1900 and they measure 9".

Each are marked with Spode Copeland's China - England in green and below will be the retailer mark, Davis Collamore & Co. Ltd., 7 & 9 East 52nd Street, New York (in brown). We believe the top letter and number at the top of the plates on the back are the pattern number that is hand painted.

These gorgeous plates are of high quality. The border has a wheat like pattern in gold and some white around for the border with floral decoration inside. Another gold, wheat pattern borders the center figural image, which is signed, G. Cholerton. There are four different figural images, very beautiful in stunning color! The gold is a gold gild with gold around on the edging of the scalloped plates.

Davis Collamore & Co. was a high end New York City importer of porcelain and glass. The firm commissioned designs from Copeland Spode and Thomas Minton Sons that featured hand painted details over transfer printed outlines and often gilded.

This beautiful set is in exceptional condition. Just exceptional!

Would definitely accentuate a Victorian dining area or hutch well. A great addition for a collector!
