First we would like you to know there are very few known of Al Smith's artwork in black ink of “Life in the Suburbs.”
This artwork in pen & ink are very impressive and show his experience of Suburban life, as he saw it in the caricature cartoon form.

Circa 06/04/1978, is signed by Al Smith and measures 12 1/4” wide by 9 1/4” tall.
Al Smith Started this series, Life In The Suburbs, around 1963 and for the duration of his life. Only if we could go back in time when life was at a slower speed and people took a little time to laugh and smell the roses.
It is in good condition, please review photographs thoroughly. Slight overall toning from age and there are light blue lines measuring about 1 5/8” in on the left and 1 3/4” in on the right side, which was probably used for later publication.
This is a one of a kind find and a fun addition for any cartoon or Al Smith collector. Enjoy!!
