A gorgeous 19th Century, Bradley & Hubbard, brass plated cast iron, stag letter holder.
Circa 1885 and is marked B&H and numbered 3549 7030.
Measures 5 1/2" tall x 8 3/4" wide x 4 3/4" depth.
Features a beautiful stag leaping over a fence, which is being pursued by 2 dogs on both the front and back panels, which the whole piece is done in beautiful brass plated cast iron. The center panel is mounted upon a flat and decorative finial with large finger holes for carrying. The base is supported by four scroll feet and the border has a beautiful scroll or oval motif around with two cartouches on the front and back.
This is in wonderful condition. The patina is beautiful.
What a great addition to add to any study or Bradley and Hubbard collector.
