Beautiful rare majolica game tureen - game pie dish, circa 1890's.
Measuring about 10 5/8" in length and with the handles about 12", 3 1/4" deep inside, 7 3/4" wide. The cover is 9 1/2" long and 6 5/8" wide.
This tureen has exquisite coloring featuring a partridge and flowers in an ivory ground version.
In excellent condition with no chips or flea bites, kiln effects and normal wear due to age.
This is an outstanding piece, much more beautiful in person.
Would be a great addition for any collector.

There are impressed initials KB on the pitcher and the base is marked 2072 5.
The monk figural match striker is standing on the edge of the tub surrounded by various barrels of different sizes.
