HANDSOME PERIOD CHIPPENDALE PENNSYLVANIA GRADUATED 9 DRAWER WALNUT TALL CHEST - CIRCA 1780

Handsome Chippendale Pennsylvanian tall chest from the 1780 period. A truly beautiful piece with the reeded side columns, and talk about heavy. Unusual in that, as you can tell by the pegging in the photographs, below all the drawers is a complete dust shelf going all the way back. The bottom drawer weighs as much as two pieces of furniture. A beautiful period piece having nice deep swedged drawer bottoms, has been retapped for hardware and has replaced old locks in the drawers. The backboards are all original and all pegged in, the bracket which is all hand coped possibly has been professionally restored and if so, well over 80 years ago with new glue blocks. There is a small patch that you can see in the photos above the top right drawer. The original bottom board is all dovetailed into the case as the photos show. The photos do not do this chest justice. With the fluorescent lighting surrounding it do not give the depth of the patina. The color is much deeper than the photos. It is a beautiful antique piece. The main case measuring a great size of 38 1/2 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 68 inches high, this is a solid walnut piece and in great condition, ready to move right into your house. Talk about a great investment piece. Here is your chance and at a very reasonable price.

With a personal check, shipment will be made within 10 days of receipt. With money orders, shipment will be made within 4 working days of receipt, unless there is an unusual circumstance.
