EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL SIGNED ERTE - ROMAIN DE TIRTOFF - GOUACHE & INK FASHION DRAWING

Extremely rare original signed Erte - Romain De Tirtoff - gouache and ink fashion drawing in wonderful condition.
This elegant dress is of half strapless upper body design with a see through cape to the left side showing the elegant nude body underneath this sheer silk half cape.
The simplicity of the deep flowing gown with gold dotted circles, gold against a royal blue ground, makes the composition not only a knockout, but also very sensuous to the eye.
I was a clothes designer in Montreal for several years in the 60’s and had worked on hundreds of original designs. I can say that this original drawing could more than meet all the standards for its execution, just from the drawing.
This painting is of a wonderful size. Framed it is 14 inches x 8 3/4 inches with the image size being 13" x 8".
We are so fortunate to be able to offer this piece, the originals not normally found.

beautiful cat charcoal and gouache drawing by F B Downing signed, dated 1897 and titled "At Bay". Fresh out of a Randolph, Vermont estate, this artist was very talented in capturing this scene. At first glance, it is so well done that you would think it was a photograph. It is an original charcoal drawing with the frame size being 29½ inches by 25½ inches and the image size being 24 inches by 19½ inches.
The drawing is under glass so there are some relections. It is in nice condition, as the photos show and is a must for any cat love.
